Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer ( Senior Role) – 12 Month Contract
Location: Hybrid – Toronto, ON (2 days in the office per week)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Overview:
We are looking to hire AWS Cloud Enginee ( Senior) for a 12-month contract role. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services on the AWS platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, working on scalable, high-performance cloud environments, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implement AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to create scalable, secure cloud architectures.
Cloud Security Solutions: Architect and deploy security solutions to safeguard data and applications in the cloud.
Optimize Cloud Resources: Ensure cost-efficiency and improved performance for AWS cloud environments.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA specialists, security engineers, and other cloud engineers.
Develop Scalable Distributed Systems: Maintain and scale distributed systems on AWS for high availability and performance.
Cloud Monitoring & Automation: Set up and manage monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK, New Relic, Sumo Logic), automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Automate deployments using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and other tools.

Qualifications:
Senior Role (9+ years of experience):
Expertise in AWS technologies, cloud security, performance optimization, and significant experience in implementing and maintaining cloud solutions.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Shell, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with IaC tools like Ansible and container management systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, New Relic.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
