Automation Test Lead – Real-Time Payments (Hybrid – Toronto )
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite/week)
Contract: 5 months (strong potential for extension)

🚀 Are you an Automation Test Lead ready to take the reins on a mission-critical real-time payments program?
We’re hiring for a lead automation engineer to support a major Canadian bank’s Real-Time Rail (RTR) initiative—a high-impact project modernizing API infrastructure and enabling real-time settlement for payment systems. This role offers an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of fintech with strong leadership visibility.
What You’ll Do:
Lead development & maintenance of automated test suites
Debug and optimize automation code for enterprise-grade systems
Collaborate with business & technology leadership in Agile squads
Mentor junior engineers and champion quality engineering standards
Drive innovation and stay current with evolving tech trends
Must-Have Experience:
✅ 5–8 years with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript
✅ 3–5 years working with Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman
✅ Background in test automation frameworks
✅ Strong communicator & self-starter with leadership abilities
Nice-to-Haves:
Domain knowledge in banking or payments
Exposure to real-time API systems or core banking platforms
