| What we are looking for

Reporting to the Manager, Retail Payment Systems Operations the Associate Payment Analyst will work with a team of dedicated payments professionals committed to ensuring the operational excellence of Payments Canada’s retail batch payment system – the Automated Clearing Settlement System (ACSS). The Associate Analyst will interface with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, maintain and improve business processes. The Retail Payment Systems Operations team also plays a key role in planning the evolution and future state of retail payments in Canada.

Responsibilities of the Associate Payment Analyst position includes but is not limited to:

Business Analysis and Reporting:

 

Analyze the business needs of members and stakeholders in order to propose solutions to identified problems and identify opportunities for value added services.Obtain data from multiple sources, analyze information to develop reliable fact based reports in support of various operational initiatives and ongoing activities.Develop a strong understanding of Payments Canada’s by-laws, rules and standards to ensure operational excellence.Support the coordination and execution of operational projects and annual initiatives.

Project Coordination and Committee Support:

 

Manage work related to assigned Payments Canada task forces, committees and working groups, which includes but is not limited to; agenda management and act as Secretary or Chair, undertake research and analysis when required.

Incident Management and On-Call Support:

 

Provide on-call support as needed to support 5×24 operations and ensure timely and accurate follow-up and reporting of all participant and Payments Canada system incidents.

| What you will need to be successful

 

Post-secondary education in a relevant area in business administration, finance or related discipline.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a business administration, economics, or policy related position.Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work outside of regular working hours based on operational requirements.Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.Occasional travel between Ottawa and Toronto may be required.Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance and can successfully complete enhanced background checks that may be carried out by Payments Canada.

| Salary range

 

Based on qualifications and experience: $65,026 to $81,283.
