We are looking for an Assistant Vice President, Investment Strategist for an existing vacancy on our investment team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and commercially minded investment professional who understands the importance of clear, consistent, and thoughtful communication of the firm’s investment perspectives. The successful candidate will enjoy connecting macroeconomic research, market insights, and portfolio strategy to deliver meaningful and actionable communication. This individual will play a key role in developing and communicating the firm’s investment views, positioning, and outlook to internal stakeholders, while supporting alignment and transparency across the investment platform. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer of CC&L Private Capital, this role works closely with portfolio managers, investment teams, and internal stakeholders across the firm. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.

What You Will Do

Develop and execute engagement strategies to communicate the firm’s investment views across asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies, and alternatives
Communicate to both internal constituents as well as represent the firm’s investment team in select client facing situations and events
Analyze global economic trends, monetary policy, geopolitics, and market cycles, to identify key market themes, risks, and portfolio implications
Partner closely with portfolio managers and investment teams to curate key investment perspectives
Distill research and perspectives from analysts, portfolio managers, and external research providers into clear, concise, and relevant communication for internal stakeholders and Wealth Advisors
Participate in Investment Committee and asset allocation meetings focused on macroeconomic developments, investment strategy, and portfolio implementation
Conduct macroeconomic and market research projects, including sourcing and analyzing data, identifying trends and relationships, and presenting findings
Prepare and deliver materials for weekly Asset Allocation meetings, including documenting market themes, asset mix exposures, and portfolio risks
Create and maintain macroeconomic and market charts and dashboards utilized across the organization
Develop recurring and ad hoc investment communications and presentations for internal stakeholders, client meetings, and prospective client discussions
Analyze portfolio exposures and risks including duration, yield curve positioning, credit exposures, sector allocations, and other portfolio-level characteristics
Support the creation of quarterly outlooks and other strategic investment publications through data analysis, chart creation, and written commentary
Influence and support internal stakeholders and Wealth Advisors through strong investment communication and thought leadership
What You Bring

10+ years of experience in investment strategy, macroeconomic research, asset allocation, portfolio analytics, or a related investment function
Deep understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, and multi-asset portfolio construction
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling narratives
Proven ability to collaborate and influence across teams and stakeholders without direct authority
Experience preparing investment presentations, market commentary, and strategic communications for internal and external audiences
High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills
Intellectual curiosity, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast paced environment
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
CFA designation or progress toward completion is strongly preferred
The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. Actual base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual performance bonus, our long-term incentive program, and profit sharing.
