We’re Hiring: Applications Architect – Intermediate (RQ09602)
📍 Location: 21 College Street, Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

⏳ End Date: March 31, 2026 (with extension option)
💼 Client: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement
We are seeking an Applications Architect – Intermediate to join our team and support enterprise-level solutions within the Ontario Public Service. This role requires strong technical design expertise, leadership in developing architecture artifacts, and hands-on experience in large-scale data migration and integration.
✅ Must-Have Experience
3–5 years of relevant IT architecture and design experience
Knowledge of structured methodologies for design, development & implementation of applications
Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Architecture Standards & artifacts (e.g., Business Architecture Document, Solutions Architecture Document, Information Architecture Document)
Experience with solution design and prototyping tools
🌟 Nice-to-Have
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Experience designing large-scale data migration operations
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Draft solution designs & technical architecture for cloud-based applications
Develop and review enterprise architecture artifacts
Produce visual use cases, process flows, and ensure traceability across business and technical requirements
Support system design, data modeling, and security/privacy compliance
Provide guidance during testing, data migration, and integration activities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and ensure ministry standards are met
🔑 Evaluation Criteria
Technical Skills (40 pts): Cloud/SaaS applications, responsive web technologies, APIs, middleware, integration with payment gateways, enterprise IT strategy
Architecture Knowledge (35 pts): Business/Solution/Information Architecture, modeling tools (PowerDesigner, Enterprise Architect), privacy/security review
Data Migration & Integration (25 pts): Migration from legacy systems to SaaS, mapping, strategy & documentation
Public Sector Experience (5 pts): Experience working with Ontario Public Service or similar large-scale organizations
📌 Additional Details
Hours: 7.25 per day, Monday to Friday
Security Clearance: CRJMC required
Contract Extension: Possible based on project needs
