Job Title: Amazon Connect Developer – RECRUITED – CAN (SLFJP00005398)

Contract: 6 months

Remote Working.

 

 

 

Sun Life has an immediate requirement for an CCaaS developer under Contact Centre Infrastructure (CCI). This role will be within the CCI Operations development team which is accountable for continuous service improvement to Amazon Connect.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Engineer with expertise in Amazon Connect and AWS infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing, optimizing, and securing our cloud-based contact center and associated AWS services. The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of cloud contact center technologies, development skills and a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure needed to address security, stability, and supportability of services.

 

Major Responsiblities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain Amazon Connect environments and associated AWS services

2. Configure and optimize Splunk for log management and analysis

3. Set up and maintain CloudWatch monitoring and alerting systems

4. Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications

5. Implement and enforce security best practices and governance policies across AWS infrastructure

 

 

 

What you will need to succeed:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

2. 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with AWS

3. Strong knowledge of Amazon Connect and its integration with other AWS services

4. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

5. Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

6. In-depth knowledge of Splunk for log management and analysis

7. Expertise in CloudWatch monitoring and alerting configuration

8. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and containerization

9. Strong understanding of security best practices and governance in cloud environments

10. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

11. Experience in application development lifecycle: Agile Scrum

Business Justification: This position is required to help us continue to enhance our strong foundation within our AWS accounts. We want to ensure we continually adhere to the best governance practices adhering strictly to regulatory compliance.

 

 

 

Senior vs. Junior/Intermediate – Define the reason this is at the senior vs. junior/intermediate level. Is it complexity or is it delivery? Intermediate level – This is agile delivery and very lean on members within the sprint. We need a resource with in-depth knowledge of AWS, Amazon Connect and be independent learner to be able to jump straight into the sprint.
