Hiring: Accounts Receivable Clerk (6-Month Contract) | Oakville, ON
Are you a detail-oriented numbers person with a knack for billing and a passion for teamwork?
We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Oakville for a 6-month contract starting this May!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with 1–2 years of experience (or a recent Master’s graduate) to dive deep into GAAP-compliant accounting and vendor relations.
The Role at a Glance
In this role, you won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll be the primary point of contact for our buying organization and vendors.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Billing & Invoicing: Booking supplier invoices according to GAAP guidelines and legal requirements.
Account Management: Opening accounts, clearing liabilities, and issuing payments.
Problem Solving: Partnering with purchasing teams and vendors to resolve account discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Contributing to Balance Sheet and P&L month-end closings.
Collaboration: Working closely with banks and internal departments to keep everything running smoothly.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: Previous billing experience is a must.
Education/Background: An accounting or financial analysis background.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (you should be comfortable with data and formulas).
Soft Skills: You are a self-starter who thrives in a team environment and loves taking initiative.
