Bookkeeper / Accounting Analyst – Trust Services

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: Through October 31, 2026

Extension / Conversion: Possible based on performance and business needs

Location: Alberta – 100% Remote

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (MT), 37.5 hrs/week (occasional overtime possible)

Role Overview

This role provides accounting and financial administration support for a growing portfolio of trust structures. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and audit preparation, enabling trust professionals to focus on fiduciary oversight and stakeholder relationships. The role operates in a high-trust, detail-oriented environment with complex fund and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple trust structures
Track and reconcile investment income, budgets, disbursements, and payments
Perform monthly reconciliations and interest allocations
Support payment processing in accordance with trust terms and approvals
Track invoices, monitor overdrafts, and maintain supporting documentation
Assist with audit preparation, compliance reviews, and responses
Support tax reporting activities (e.g., T3 support)
Provide trust-specific accounting support as required
Required Qualifications

2+ years of financial or accounting experience
1+ year of hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budget tracking, and audit preparation
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard office tools
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and time management
Nice to Have

Experience with trust, estate, or fund accounting
Experience working with Indigenous Nations, public sector, or values-based organizations
Exposure to Broadridge or Webpost systems
Education

Diploma or degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline
