Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Accountant. In this position, you will contribute to the client’s financial consolidation, reporting, and compliance processes, leveraging your technical accounting expertise to support accurate and timely financial statements.

Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr

Responsibilities

Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
Prepare and review accounting adjustments related to foreign currency exposures and hedging strategies
Resolve intercompany transaction discrepancies and reconcile foreign exchange revaluations
Assist in consolidating financial statements within a complex organizational structure operating in multiple currencies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and adherence to accounting standards
Participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of consolidation activities
Maintain documentation for compliance and audit purposes
Support regulatory reporting requirements and internal control processes
Desired Skill-Set

Minimum 4 years of relevant financial accounting experience, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Strong knowledge of foreign exchange accounting, intercompany accounting, and multi-currency environments
Experience with financial consolidation and statutory reporting
Degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query)
Experience with data analysis and general ledger systems (SAP GL considered an asset)
Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and effective collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail, accountability, and adaptability to change
