We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join the Justice Information Management System (JIMS) 3.0 project with the Government of Alberta. This initiative focuses on modernizing court data reporting by consolidating multiple legacy data marts into a robust Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) with enhanced governance and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Review and analyze existing data marts and data models
✅ Perform detailed data profiling and mapping specifications
✅ Design Facts and Dimensions for Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions
✅ Develop and test ETL processes
✅ Build Power BI reports for validation and testing
✅ Conduct quality assurance for Facts and Dimensions
✅ Update existing data models and stage required data
✅ Support data governance and enterprise architecture initiatives
✅ Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical guidance
Required Skills & Experience:
✔ Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Warehousing
✔ Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and data integration
✔ Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics
✔ Excellent knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
✔ Ability to create mapping specifications and perform data profiling
✔ Experience working on large-scale enterprise transformation projects
📍 Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote (Occasional meetings/work sessions in Edmonton may be required with reasonable notice)
