📋 Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to convert existing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports over to the Power BI environment.
This position requires advanced proficiency with Power BI, a strong understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL), and expertise in data modeling best practices.
Responsibilities include migrating existing SSRS reports over to the Power BI Platform.
Design and develop advanced interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Build and maintain data models using best practices to support efficient reporting and analytics.
Publish and maintain Power BI reports on the Power BI Service.
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading from a variety of data sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that reports meet business needs.
Work with Power Query (M language).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data queries, report accuracy, and performance for both legacy and new reports.

🎓 Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced experience designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI and the Fabric platform.
Strong proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) for querying, transforming, and managing data.
Expertise in data modeling, including designing efficient and scalable data models using best practices such as star schema.
Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from a variety of data sources.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Experience working in an agile environment using source control and ticketing systems for tracking tasks, managing issues, and monitoring project progress.
Professional certifications in Power BI, business intelligence, or data analytics are considered an asset but are not required.
