Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DNS Operations Engineer (L2/L3 Support) to support and maintain enterprise-scale DNS infrastructure across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in DNS administration, troubleshooting, and operational support with expertise in enterprise networking environments. This role requires close collaboration with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of DNS services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 operational support for enterprise DNS environments ensuring service availability and SLA adherence.
Manage and support DNS platforms including InfoBlox, BIND, and Windows DNS.
Troubleshoot and resolve DNS-related issues including resolution failures, latency concerns, connectivity issues, and routing dependencies.
Work closely with Cisco network teams to diagnose network connectivity, routing, firewall, and infrastructure-related issues impacting DNS services.
Create, modify, and manage DNS zones, records, delegations, and associated configurations for internal and external applications/services.
Support and maintain hybrid DNS environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and recurring issues and provide recommendations for long-term remediation.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities using ServiceNow.
Monitor and analyze DNS performance and operational metrics using monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Collaborate with application, cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to support enterprise service delivery.
Support operational documentation, knowledge base creation, and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications

4–8 years of experience in DNS administration and support within enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with:
InfoBlox
BIND
Windows DNS
Experience troubleshooting DNS issues in large-scale environments.
Strong understanding of:
TCP/IP
DNS architecture
Routing concepts
Load balancing
Firewall dependencies
Experience supporting Cisco networking environments.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools:
dig
nslookup
Splunk
Dynatrace
Experience with ServiceNow for incident and problem management workflows.
Exposure to cloud DNS services and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud DNS technologies (Azure DNS, Route 53, Google Cloud DNS).
Knowledge of DNS security concepts including DNSSEC and DDoS mitigation.
Relevant certifications in networking, DNS, or cloud technologies are a plus.
