Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Full-stack Developer specializing in VBA and JavaScript. This position involves developing and automating code solutions to support operational processes, collaborating within a talented team, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, agile setting.

Pay rate range (CAD): $55.81/hr – $66.97/hr

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Design and implement backend solutions utilizing VBA for automation and process improvements
Optimize SQL Server queries and develop stored procedures to improve database performance
Create macros in MS Access and MS Excel to automate recurring tasks
Integrate and utilize API methods to facilitate data exchange and automation
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and demonstrate solutions
Follow SDLC best practices to ensure high-quality code and project deliverables
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to support ongoing maintenance
Support team efforts through regular meetings, sharing progress, and providing technical demos
Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, ensuring SLAs are met consistently
Desired Skill-Set

5+ years of code development experience with a solid understanding of SDLC
Expertise in front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Strong backend skills with VBA and automation scripting
Proficiency with SQL Server, including query optimization and stored procedures
Experience creating macros in MS Access and MS Excel
Hands-on experience with API integration methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to demonstrate functionality through presentations and demos
Nice to Have

Experience working within an Agile environment
Code review and mentorship experience
Prior experience in banking or financial institutions
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence collaboration tools
