Title: QA Automation with SQL / (Java Selenium)

Location: Calgary Canada or Toronto, ON. (Hybrid)

Expr level– 10+ years

Contract

 

 

Overview: It’s manual + automation role . Client wants the candidate to understand the manual use cases and automate as required. If they are also able to use AI for the same, that’s added advantage

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in comprehensive software testing, covering both manual and automated testing processes.

Proven expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

 

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in automation tools and technologies, including Java, Python, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber.
Strong command of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and validation.
Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
Proficient in Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.
Working knowledge of AWS services, like S3, ECS
Familiarity with message brokers such as AMQ (ActiveMQ or Apache MQ) for testing messaging and integration scenarios
Familiarity with Databricks will be a plus
Analytical & Communication Skills:

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Testing & Methodologies:

Experience supporting test strategy development, particularly for integration testing across multiple applications and systems.
Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
Skilled in testing web-based and API-driven systems, with a focus on identifying user experience issues.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to Generative AI (GEN AI) tools is preferred.
Experience in performance testing is preferred
