Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Instructional Designer – Vyond/JAWS. You will be responsible for assessing learning needs, designing engaging, accessible blended learning solutions, and supporting complex, fast-paced projects within an agile environment. Pay rate range (CAD): $51.06/hr – $61.27/hr

Responsibilities

Assess learning needs and conduct consultations with stakeholders to determine performance objectives
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture content-specific knowledge and requirements
Design and develop fully accessible, engaging blended learning solutions across multiple modalities including e-learning, instructor-led, virtual, and self-led formats
Create interactive simulations and videos using Articulate 360 and Vyond, ensuring accessibility compliance
Ensure learning solutions align with branding, diversity, equity, and inclusion standards, and adhere to accessibility guidelines such as WCAG 2.1
Manage project scope, risks, and stakeholder engagement within an agile framework, delivering solutions iteratively in two-week increments
Lead learning strategy discussions and provide thought leadership on design and development best practices
Synthesise complex information into clear, accessible content and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels
Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging practices, and continuous improvement in instructional design and development processes
Identify and escalate potential risks or challenges, advocating for risk management practices
Desired Skill-Set

10+ years’ experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer
Proven ability to analyze learning needs and develop strategic, accessible solutions
Expertise in designing and developing a variety of learning modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led, and self-paced content
Advanced proficiency in Articulate 360 suite, Vyond, and Adobe Acrobat for creating simulations, videos, and accessible PDFs
Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills with excellent communication abilities
Deep understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1, and experience testing assets with JAWS or keyboard navigation
Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Word
Experience supporting financial industry projects in fast-paced, transformational environments
Ability to work effectively in an agile, iterative setting, managing scope and priorities efficiently
Nice to Have

Additional experience developing video content with Vyond and interactive PDFs in Adobe Acrobat
Educational background or certification in Instructional Design or Adult Learning
Experience working with external vendors or cross-functional teams on complex projects
