Job Description
Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Hybrid – Toronto)
🚀 Build from zero-to-one. Ship real product. Own it end-to-end.
We’re hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a high-growth, venture-backed startup building a modern workflow & data analytics platform. This is not a feature-factory role — you’ll be one of the first engineers beyond the founding team, reporting directly to the CTO and owning systems from architecture → build → deploy → monitor.
💰 Compensation (Ontario Pay Transparency Compliant)
$160,000 – $170,000 CAD base salary
0.5% equity (4-year vest)
Unlimited PTO
Hybrid work model (3 days/week in Toronto office – non-negotiable)
🛠 What You’ll Do
Architect and ship production systems end-to-end
Build backend services in Python (AWS EKS, Lambda, Docker)
Develop frontend applications using React + TypeScript
Work with Postgres, strong data modelling required
Own CI/CD, monitoring (Grafana), infra (Terraform), performance, caching, async behaviour
Participate in passive mentorship of junior engineers
Influence core product & technical decisions
✅ What We’re Looking For
5–7+ years professional engineering experience
Strong startup / early-stage experience
Proven “zero-to-one” product delivery
Experience shipping & owning production systems
Systems thinker (not just a ticket executor)
Comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and high autonomy
Willing to work hybrid in Toronto (3 days/week in office)
📌 Must include LinkedIn + GitHub with application.
🚩 This Role Is NOT For You If:
You want fully remote
You prefer maintenance over building
You haven’t owned production systems
You’re uncomfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
🧠 Interview Process
15-min intro → 2–3 hr take-home → Technical review → In-person team meet → Offer
We expect candidates to research the company before interviews and come ready to discuss projects, tools, or recent technical learnings.
If you’re a builder who wants ownership, equity, and visible impact — this is your shot.
