Data Lead Developer / Architect

Hiring: Data Lead Developer / Architect | Location: GTA, Canada (4 days/week onsite)

We are looking for a Data Lead Developer / Architect who can act as the SPOC for the entire Pod and bring strong technical leadership. This role is replacing a client Sr. Development Manager (FTE), so we need someone with maturity and ownership mindset.

Key Requirements:
Strong experience in ETL development and Data Warehousing concepts
Expertise in Python, Spark, Scala, SQL
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Airflow, Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Banking domain experience – Payments / Transaction Systems / AML / Core Banking (at least one)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:
Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
Exposure to Machine Learning workflows / MLOps
Understanding of Data Governance and Compliance
