Job Description
We have a 6-month contract opportunity for an Endpoint Remediation Specialist. This is a hybrid work position, ideally onsite 2-3 days per week in Burnaby, BC.
The Endpoint Remediation Specialist will support vulnerability remediation efforts across our client’s workstation environment. This role will collaborate closely with the Service Desk and Security teams, receiving day-to-day guidance from the Senior Security Analyst.
The ideal candidate will be a strong technical contributor with deep experience in Intune, Qualys, and desktop/application remediation. The primary focus of this role is to reduce the vulnerability backlog, execute remediation activities, and provide ongoing metrics to demonstrate progress over time. Other qualifications include:
– 3–5+ years in Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Endpoint Engineering roles.
– Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including:
– Compliance policies
– Update rings
– Application deployment (Win32, LoB apps)
– Proactive remediations
– PowerShell-driven actions
– Experience using Qualys or similar vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Rapid7, Defender TVM).
– Strong PowerShell scripting skills (able to modify, run, and create scripts for remediation).
– Solid understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, workstation applications, and configuration management.
– Comfortable analyzing vulnerability findings and translating them into actionable remediation steps.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
– Experience with SCCM for patching or app deployments.
– Familiarity with AWS-hosted systems (not required—work is primarily workstation-focused).
– Experience generating basic metrics or dashboards (Excel, Power BI).
– Exposure to enterprise security baselines and hardening frameworks.
