This executive-level role provides strategic oversight across a coordinated portfolio of digital health programs, ensuring alignment between clinical workflows, business objectives, technical architecture, interoperability standards, and provincial policy direction.

Position Overview
Reporting to executive leadership, the Senior Project Director will oversee an integrated portfolio of eHealth initiatives, ensuring strong governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and program execution.
You will collaborate closely with key provincial partners, including:
Health Services
Medical Association
College of Physicians and Surgeons
Public health teams, shared services organizations, clinical groups, vendors, and cross-stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Program Leadership
Provide senior oversight across major eHealth initiatives, including:
CII / CPAR
Electronic Referral Solution (ERS)
Provincial EMR Strategy & Integration
EHR Viewer / Clinical Document Repository Modernization
Develop integrated roadmaps, portfolio plans, and dependency tracking
Drive cross-workstream coordination and enterprise risk management
Strategic Development & Analysis
Contribute to policy direction, investment planning, and program strategy
Support Statements of Work, procurement documentation, SLAs, and pricing models
Ensure interoperability, clinical usability, adoption, and data quality standards
Vendor & Contract Management
Oversee EMR vendors, technology suppliers, and service partners
Manage contract compliance, amendments, extensions, and performance
Escalate and resolve risks to maintain delivery timelines and quality
Stakeholder Engagement
Lead engagement with clinicians, professional associations, and regulators
Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and working groups
Provide direction on change management, communications, and adoption
Governance & Executive Reporting
Deliver executive briefings and portfolio status reports
Report on risks, mitigation strategies, and resource allocations
Ensure alignment with IMT standards and architecture frameworks
Ideal Candidate
10+ years leading large-scale healthcare or public-sector digital transformation programs
Extensive experience managing complex, multi-vendor environments
Deep understanding of EMR/EHR ecosystems, interoperability standards, and clinical workflows
Executive-level communication and stakeholder leadership skills
Experience within Canadian provincial healthcare systems
