Senior Software Developer (Python/GCP)
📍 Toronto | Hybrid (3–4 days onsite)
💰 $60–$70/hour (7-month contract, strong extension potential)
This is not a DevOps-heavy role. We’re looking for a true hands-on developer — someone who writes, tests, and owns their Python code.
You’ll help refactor and modernize a critical Finance platform into a cloud-native GCP solution. This is a ground-up rebuild, not maintenance work. Big architectural input. Real engineering impact.
What You’ll Do
Rebuild backend systems in Python (primary) + Java
Modernize legacy SQL Server applications into GCP
Design scalable data models and pipelines (Composer, Dataflow, GCS)
Contribute to cloud migration strategy and CI/CD setup
Influence architecture decisions from early-stage planning
What You Bring
✔ 7+ years Software Development experience
✔ 3+ years strong hands-on Python coding (must)
✔ Solid SQL and database experience
✔ Cloud exposure (GCP preferred)
✔ Kubernetes or Docker familiarity
💡 Best candidates are strong engineers first — cloud architecture experience is a plus, but core development strength is the priority.
