DevOps Engineer

We have a one-year contract opportunity for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in cloud automation, specifically Azure, to automate deployments to the cloud. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days of work from home and 3 days in the office at Queens Quay, Toronto. Standard business hours apply, with occasional evenings or weekends during major releases or incidents.

The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred. Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts, tools, principles, and best practices, particularly with GitHub and Azure DevOps. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as DataDog, is essential. The ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments is required, along with familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Expertise in Azure cloud services, including App Service, Kubernetes Service (AKS), SQL Database, Function App, and DevOps Services is also necessary. Relevant certifications in Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Kubernetes are considered an asset.
