Senior Mainframe Developer

Our banking client is hiring a Senior Mainframe Developer to join their team on a contract basis located in Scarborough. This will be a hybrid role, 3 days per week onsite, potentially moving to 4 days per week.

Must Have Skills:
1. 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe application development experience in large enterprise or financial services environments
2. 10+ years of experience with core mainframe technologies: Cobol, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, JCL, MQ
3. 10+ years of working knowledge of MVS, TSO/ISPF, VM, and mainframe batch processing
4. 8+ years of experience with SQL, SORT utilities, IBM mainframe utilities, and scheduling tools such as Control-M or CA-Jobtrac
5. 8+ years of experience with change management, debugging and productivity tools such as CHANGEMAN, XPEDITER, INTERTEST, FILEAID, FILEAID/DB2, and related utilities.
6. 5+ years prior experience in technical leadership or team lead roles
7. Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and successfully deploying large-scale projects from end to end.
8. Hands-on experience in following iterative and agile SDLC.

Nice to have:
1. Experience with system integration projects including mergers or platform consolidations
2. Proven experience work with Tier-1 banks; supporting and enhancing mission critical financial systems (e.g., credit cards, banking, rewards, collections, deposits, ATM/ABM systems)
3. Exposure to interface services and data exchange between mainframe and front end applications
