Position: Solution Architect

Location: At this time, the team alternates work locations between Toronto and Oshawa on a weekly basis. Therefore, candidates should be prepared to report to the Oshawa office three days per week every other week.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to design and deliver innovative architecture solutions aligned with organizational goals and modern technology practices. This role offers the opportunity to lead digital transformation initiatives in the nuclear/manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design APIs for seamless data integration across platforms.
Leverage Microsoft Azure to build scalable, reliable cloud solutions.
Design and implement Operational Technologies (OT), including SCADA and Pi systems, to optimize efficiency.
Guide teams in adopting modern frameworks (Angular, React, .NET) and best practices (microservices, MVC).
Drive transition from monolithic to service-based architectures, including containerization.
Upgrade legacy systems (Visual Basic 6, Centura, Gupta) to modern technologies.
Develop robust data platforms and integrate BI/AI tools for actionable insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
10+ years in solution design and architecture.
Expertise in Azure, API management, DevOps, SCADA, Pi solutions.
Proficient in architecture patterns (microservices, MVC) and modern frameworks.
Experience with legacy system modernization and containerization.
Industry certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAP, CCSP) preferred.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
