Job Title: Solution Architect – Microsoft Azure & OT
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days remote)
Contract: 12 Months | 35 hours/week
Rate: Up to $102/hr (inclusive)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver innovative, scalable technology solutions. This hands-on role will guide the modernization of enterprise systems, leverage Microsoft Azure, and implement Operational Technology (OT) solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
You will:
Architect and implement APIs for seamless data integration across platforms
Lead the transition from monolithic to microservices-based architectures
Modernize legacy systems including Visual Basic 6, Centura, and Gupta
Design and enhance user interfaces with React, Angular, and .NET
Develop robust data platforms supporting BI and AI initiatives
Drive DevOps adoption for continuous integration and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years’ experience in solution design and architecture
Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, API management, SCADA, and Pi solutions
Strong understanding of microservices, MVC, and service-based architectures
Hands-on experience with Angular, React, .NET, SQL
Experience in nuclear or manufacturing industries preferred
Proven track record in upgrading legacy systems
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
