Senior Product Owner – Risk Management & Back Office Platforms
REMOTE: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Government of Canada: Security clearance required
One-year contract
Salary range $40 to $80 per hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead the development and sustainment of enterprise risk management and back-office platforms. This role requires strong expertise in financial accounting, risk rating, and legal operations, along with the ability to manage multiple lines of business in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate product vision and roadmap aligned to business strategy
Prioritize features based on business value, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
Act as the primary liaison between business leaders, technology teams, and vendors
Manage the product backlog and support Agile delivery
Engage executive stakeholders and report on product performance
Drive measurable business outcomes (cost reduction, risk mitigation, efficiency gains)
Lead business transformation and change initiatives

Required Experience
5+ years in senior Product Owner or Product Manager roles
Proven success in delivering business value and managing executive stakeholders
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Experience working across finance, legal, IT, and operations
Assets
Certifications (CSPO, CPA, CFA, FRM, CISA, MBA, PMP)
Agile/Scrum and Azure DevOps experience
Bilingual English/French
