Senior Back-End Developer

Senior Back-End Developer – Node.js / Microservices (Ontario, Hybrid)
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Back-End Developer to join a fast-paced Agile team building mobile and online banking applications. You’ll design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express.js), working on high-impact projects that touch thousands of users.
What You’ll Do:
Build and maintain secure, high-performing microservices
Design and implement APIs, JWT-based authentication, and Redis caching
Collaborate in an Agile team – sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery
Ensure quality through unit/integration testing and production support
Mentor peers and contribute to technical excellence
Must-Haves:
Node.js & Express.js experience
JavaScript/TypeScript development
JWT & Redis experience
Agile mindset and collaborative communication
Nice-to-Haves:
Cloud/container experience (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)
APM tools (Dynatrace, Splunk)
Banking / FI experience
Location: Ontario (Hybrid – 2 days in-office, 3 remote)
Employment Type: Contract (3–6 months, potential extension)
