Lead DevOps Engineer

Role: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: Calgary, Canada (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)
Type: Contract

Only local Calgary profiles will be considered.

Responsibilities:
• Build next-generation SDLC and deployment automation tooling
• Work with a global expert team to modernize the firm’s SDLC ecosystem
• Enable automation across private/public cloud and SaaS-based platforms
• Contribute to high-scale developer tooling used across diverse tech stacks
• Work in an agile, large-scale, globally distributed development environment

Required Skills:
• Strong hands-on development experience in Python
• Bonus: Knowledge of Java, C# or TypeScript
• Deep understanding of SDLC tools & processes
• Experience with SCM, code review tools, CI/CD, test frameworks, build tools
• Strong debugging mindset—curious to understand how systems work end-to-end

Desired Skills:
• Experience with build automation, version control (Bitbucket, Git), Jira
• CI/CD experience: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
• Deployment automation using Terraform, Ansible
• Cloud integration with AWS or Azure
• Experience with Containers & Kubernetes
• Linux/Windows system administration
