Job Description
As our Program Director you will:
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational priorities and OH@H contract requirements, ensuring a strong focus on client-centred care and service excellence.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving system needs to maintain compliance and drive innovation in home care delivery.
Oversee daily operations across nursing and PSW teams to ensure efficient, high-quality, patient-focused service delivery, including scheduling, resource allocation, staffing levels, and patient flow.
Support program managers and frontline leaders to meet all OH@H contractual obligations and KPIs, while orienting, coaching, and mentoring new supervisors to build leadership capability.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, including audits, risk mitigation, and corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution and learning from incidents, complaints, and risk issues.
Provide clear direction and motivation to staff, fostering engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement centered on exceptional client experience.
Qualifications
You are a strategic, collaborative leader who brings:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in home care or healthcare operations.
Strong knowledge of home health regulations, funding models, and best practices, with the ability to translate policy into practice.
Proven ability to lead large teams, manage complex operations, and build strong professional relationships at all levels.
Experience managing in a unionized environment and using data to drive decisions.
Solid understanding of community nursing principles, service delivery models, and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Client-focused orientation and commitment to quality service.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and foster collaboration.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with a track record of managing projects from inception to execution in fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver results while maintaining a culture of engagement and accountability.
