DevOps Specialist
Job Description
Hiring: DevOps Specialist (Remote – Edmonton, AB)
📅 12-Month Contract + Possible Extension
We’re looking for a #DevOps Specialist with strong cloud, automation, and infrastructure experience.
Must Have:
• Research, analysis, and problem-solving experience
• Ability to document issues, solutions, and procedures
• Experience with SSH clients & Remote Desktop
• Understanding of security best practices (secrets management, least privilege)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms:
– AWS: EC2, S3, RDS
– GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage
– Azure: SQL Database, Blob Storage
• Experience deploying scalable cloud/data solutions & optimizing pipelines
• Strong CLI skills (command execution, file system traversal)
• Experience with DNS lookups, trace routes, load balancing
• Scripting with PowerShell
Nice to Have:
• Experience supporting CI/CD and DevOps delivery pipelines
• Hybrid cloud deployments with Red Hat OpenShift
• Disaster recovery testing
• IaC tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Microsoft Visual Studio (2012+)
• Experience in large-scale enterprise CI/CD environments
