Data Engineer (Azure)

Hiring: Data Engineer (Azure) — 6-month Contract-to-Hire | Toronto | Hybrid

I’m looking to connect with strong Data Engineers who enjoy building modern, scalable data pipelines in Azure environments. This is a hybrid role in Toronto with a great team and meaningful cloud data initiatives.
What you’ll work on:
• Designing and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Building end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows across cloud + on-prem systems
• Integrating ADF with Databricks, Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Synapse
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving performance
• Supporting analytics and engineering teams with clean, reliable data
• Automating deployments using Azure DevOps / CI/CD
What we’re looking for:
• 3+ years in Data Engineering
• 2+ years hands-on with ADF
• Strong SQL + Python
• Experience with Azure data services (ADLS, Databricks, Synapse, etc.)
• Someone who loves solving problems and collaborating with technical teams
📍 Location: Toronto (Hybrid — approx. 2 days onsite)
📅 Contract: 6 months with option to convert to full-time
