High-Impact Python/Java Developer Opportunity – 6 Month Contract (Hybrid, Toronto)
Join a high-visibility project in Counterparty Credit Risk! We’re onboarding new products into a key risk application, currently in testing, with development about to kick off. This is your chance to work on a niche, complex system in a top-tier financial environment.
What You’ll Do:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specs
Develop, troubleshoot, and support backend components using Python, Java, Shell scripting
Conduct unit testing and ensure accurate, timely calculations for risk reporting
Collaborate with BAs, PMs, and stakeholders on a fast-paced, high-impact project
What We’re Looking For:
8+ years as a Developer
5+ years with Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
5+ years in Unix/Linux with shell scripting
2+ years reading/working with Java
Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS), RDMS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/Sybase), and messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ, JMS)
