Are you a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong governance, data management, and compliance experience? This opportunity allows you to support a major enterprise-wide data initiative, partnering with stakeholders across multiple teams to strengthen data retention, disposition, and governance practices.
Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Business Analyst – Data Governance & Controls who will support data remediation activities, perform detailed data analysis, ensure alignment with enterprise data standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive compliance and effective data management practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide data management, governance, and compliance support within Enterprise Compliance.
Support Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities and analysis.
Ensure data is maintained in accordance with enterprise data standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Perform data analysis, assess retention/disposition requirements, and support the development of related procedures.
Identify, inventory, and catalogue existing data assets.
Execute manual data disposition and evidencing activities as required.
Identify, escalate, and document project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Build strong working relationships and collaborate with peers and business partners.
Manage multiple stakeholder relationships and support project deliverables.
Desired Skill Set:
3 years of Business Analysis experience
3 years of proficiency in Excel and data analytical tools
3 years of project Management tracking and reporting
3 years of strong governance, risk, and process experience
Nice to Have:
1 year Previous financial institution or banking experience
Experience in data management, data controls, compliance, or regulatory data governance
Understanding of data regulatory rules and enterprise-wide data management practices
