Technology & Innovation is seeking an Intermediate IT Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online Migration Project.
Job Role: IT Technical Business Analyst (Intermediate)
📅 Duration: Jan 1, 2026 – Apr 1, 2027
🌍 Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in Canada)
🔎 Role Overview
You will support the modernization of legacy SharePoint 2016 environments and lead the transition to Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online, partnering with multiple business areas and technical teams. This includes information architecture, requirement gathering, workflow modernization, and supporting complex migration activities.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
✔ Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
✔ Support content migration & information architecture development
✔ Modernize workflows and forms (InfoPath, Nintex → Power Apps & Power Automate)
✔ Coordinate with cross-functional teams & lead stakeholder consultations
✔ Create project documentation, plans, status reports, and recommendations
✔ Apply IMT standards, governance, and best practices
✔ Review operational impacts and provide technical guidance
🎯 Mandatory Qualifications
🔸 5+ years Business Analysis in enterprise IT/content management
🔸 5+ years SharePoint 2016 & SharePoint Online experience
🔸 Strong understanding of workflows, metadata, UI customization
🔸 Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Power Apps, Power Automate)
🔸 Experience defining project scope, requirements, and technical specifications
🔸 Proven ability to work with diverse ministry/department stakeholders

▪ Process mapping and data flow analysis
▪ IT service management experience
▪ Experience designing & implementing complex IT solutions
▪ Working in dynamic / evolving project environments
