NORAMTEC is seeking a highly capable Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist to join our client’s team in Oshawa. This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours, and requires previous hands-on experience supporting Windows servers and web-based Windows applications in a Production environment.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive systems administration and operations support, ensuring the reliable day-to-day function of enterprise systems and optimal performance of IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Provide daily systems administration and operations support.
Set up and maintain user access, user profiles, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
Manage upgrades, apply patches, and implement requested changes.
Act as a primary interface for clients, partners, and vendors.
Monitor system and workload trends to ensure optimal use of computing resources.
Install, configure, and support networked systems and coordinate multiple system components.

Mandatory Requirements
Ability to work on-site in Oshawa, 5 days/week.
Previous hands-on experience with system administration of Windows servers and web-based Windows applications in a Production environment.
Strong communication skills with IT team members, partners, end-users, and vendors.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Proven experience with:
User access and profile management
Backup and recovery
Day-to-day operational support
Applying patches, upgrades, and system maintenance
Experience with one or more operating systems, hardware platforms, information retrieval packages, communications protocols, and middleware/gateways.
Ability to meet deadlines in a team-focused environment.

Desirable Skills
Experience with distributed or networked systems.
Awareness of emerging IT technologies.
Experience with one or more programming languages.
