The Client:
Our client is a well-established global financial institution with a strong reputation and a collaborative culture. They are seeking a Finance and Control Analyst to join their Accounting team on a full-time, permanent basis. What you will achieve in this role:
• Perform daily bank reconciliations including verification, matching, resolving unmatched items, and preparing reports using the Corona application.
• Complete monthly product reconciliations by downloading general ledger and subsystem reports, identifying and resolving differences, and maintaining accurate electronic audit trails.
• Process customer confirmations, ensuring timely and accurate verification, documentation, and issuance to clients and auditors.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions, including invoice verification, employee expense reimbursements, compliance checks, and fixed asset record maintenance.
• Support journal entries in Oracle, including preparation, reconciliation of accounts, and month-end close procedures.
• Participate in vendor risk management, maintaining vendor records and performing verification procedures.
• Collaborate closely with team members and management, assisting with quarter-end reporting, confirmation letters, and special accounting projects.
• Provide front-line interaction with banking partners while supporting and assisting colleagues across various functions.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous learning through training and cross-training initiatives.
• Act as a reliable, flexible, and proactive team member willing to help others as needed.
What you must bring to this role:
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to bank or corporate accounting functions.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Chartered designation not required).
• Proficiency with Corona, Oracle, SAP, or Cupefer systems; familiarity with Coupa and ERP environments considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
💰 Compensation: $65–75K base + 10–15% performance-based bonus
