Are you a data/cloud engineering expert ready to take on a 12-month contract with one of Canada’s leading financial institutions?

This role is perfect for someone with cloud migration expertise who thrives in fast-paced, capital markets environments.
Hybrid: 3 days/week in office (160 Front St W, Toronto)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Up to $100/hour

What You’ll Do:
Lead migration of data pipelines, ETL processes, and databases to Snowflake & Azure
Modernize analytics by migrating SSIS packages, Stored Procedures, Python scripts to DBT, Airflow, AKS
Collaborate with developers & investment professionals in the Capital Markets Investment Analytics (CMIA) team
Build scalable, cloud-first data and engineering solutions that support trading, execution & research

What We’re Looking For:
🔹 5+ years in software/data engineering (3+ in cloud migration)
🔹 Strong expertise with Snowflake, Azure, DBT, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, Python
🔹 Financial services experience (CSC or CFA is a plus)
🔹 Bonus: PowerBI, web frameworks (Streamlit, React, Flask, Django), AI tools (ChatGPT, Co-Pilot)
