Our client is seeking a Intermediate Business Analyst to support critical initiatives related to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Application Modernization. This is a 6 month contract to start located in Toronto, twice per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) projects.
Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
Work with technical teams on modernizing legacy web applications, ensuring smooth transitions to cloud-based platforms and modern architectures.
Assist in assessing current systems, identifying gaps, and recommending solutions for application and infrastructure modernization.
Conduct risk assessments and impact analysis to ensure organizational readiness in the event of disruptions.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure alignment with technical teams.
Support project managers and technical leads in delivering initiatives on time and within scope.
Prepare clear documentation, workflows, and presentations to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery projects.
Proven track record of building or contributing to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
Experience working on cloud development projects, including migrating and modernizing legacy applications into web/cloud environments.
Strong understanding of application modernization methodologies, risk management, and IT infrastructure.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in the education sector is an asset but not required.
