Are you a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in unionized manufacturing environments? We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join a dynamic and established manufacturing organization based in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to lead HR operations in a 100% onsite role.
📍 Location: Calgary, AB (Onsite – No remote or hybrid options)
🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
📈 Reports to: General Manager (with dotted line to Director of HR)
🔑 Top Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you must have:
5+ years of union experience, including grievance handling for 60+ headcount
5+ years in a manufacturing/industrial environment
5+ years as a Human Resources Generalist
💼 Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Health & Safety initiatives, including committee participation and policy development
Resolve employee relations issues, manage grievances, and participate in arbitrations
Collaborate on recruitment strategies, onboarding, and employee development plans
Oversee performance management, terminations, layoffs, and compliance with the collective agreement
Administer compensation, benefits, and workplace accommodations
Provide indirect leadership to an HR Administrator and partner closely with operations leadership
