Senior Scrum Master (Contract – 1 Year)
Remote – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
12-Month Contract
Federal Government Security Clearance Required

NORAMTEC, on behalf of our federal government client, is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join an Agile-driven team working on a high-impact, innovative solution to aggregate and visualize corporate information.

About the Role
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a key leadership and facilitation role—removing impediments, coaching Agile behaviors, and driving continuous delivery of high-value outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to help build a high-performing, self-organizing team culture while aligning product delivery with business goals and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Champion Agile and Scrum best practices across the team and organization.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, etc.
Work closely with the Product Owner to align team efforts with product goals and OKRs.
Actively identify, track, and remove blockers or dependencies.
Use Agile metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, burndown charts) to monitor and improve team performance.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and feedback within the team.
Ensure Agile governance, compliance, and process maturity.
Support cross-team coordination and manage interdependencies across squads.

You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in Agile environments.
3+ years in project, program, or business analysis roles.
Federal Government Security Clearance (mandatory).
Proven success in Agile coaching, servant leadership, and change facilitation.
Strong ability to interpret and act on team and product delivery metrics.
Experience managing complex stakeholders and technology teams.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and continuous improvement.

Technical & Domain Knowledge
Strong knowledge of data ecosystems and IT operations (e.g., Power BI, SAS Viya, Informatica MDM, SQL Server).
Understanding of ITIL, IT Service Management, and DevOps environments.
Experience in environments such as federal crown corporations, financial services, or data-driven teams.
Master certification (e.g., DASM, DASSM, PSM).
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Planview Portfolios AgilePlace.
