Position: SDET Automation
Location: Downtown, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: Long term Contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications through automated and manual testing. The role combines software development skills with testing expertise.

🔹 Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure quality.
Identify, record, and track bugs/defects using standard tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and testing.
Ensure test coverage for new and existing features.
Write clear documentation for test plans, cases, and reports.

🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
Experience in test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
Knowledge of REST APIs testing (Postman, RestAssured).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

🔹 Preferred Skills:
Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
