We are seeking an Applications Architect – Intermediate to join our client’s team at the Ontario Public Service. This role will provide leadership in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level application architecture while ensuring compliance with ministry standards.
✅ Must-Have Skills
3–5 years of relevant experience
Strong background in structured methodologies for application design, development, and maintenance
Experience with enterprise-level Architecture Standards & artifacts (e.g., Business Architecture Document, Solution Architecture Document, Solution Requirements Document, Information Architecture Document)
Hands-on expertise in technical solution design and prototyping tools for JAD/design sessions
🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Experience in large-scale data migration operations
📌 Role Responsibilities
Develop and maintain architecture artifacts for enterprise checkpoints
Draft solution and technical designs for applications built on cloud/packaged products
Support testing, privacy, and security assessments
Assist in system and user interface design
Lead knowledge transfer and ensure alignment with ministry processes
🎯 Evaluation Criteria
Technical Skills (40%) – Cloud/SaaS applications, responsive web tech, middleware, integration
Architecture Experience (35%) – Business/Solution/Information Architecture, modeling tools
Data Migration & Integration (25%) – Legacy to SaaS migrations, data mapping, integration strategies
Public Sector Experience (5%) – Working within large government/enterprise environments
