DevOps Specialists (Contract)
Remote / Onsite – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Must be authorized to work in Canada)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking experienced DevOps Specialists to support multiple digital service delivery projects for a provincial government client. The successful candidates will work across 2–3 concurrent initiatives, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, cloud operations, and automation infrastructure. This is a full-time contract opportunity with flexibility for remote work with on-site work in Edmonton, Alberta.
Scope of Services:
You’ll be part of agile delivery teams, providing DevOps support throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
Automation & Infrastructure
Develop scripts, tools, and templates for deployment, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
Automate environment setup for development, testing, and production
Operations & Monitoring
Manage cloud configurations, credentials, backups, and database migrations
Design monitoring tools to improve observability (logs, metrics, alerts)
Plan and manage system maintenance and updates
Support & Enablement
Assist development teams with security scans, integration, and load testing
Facilitate limited-release cycles (Alpha/Beta launches)
Provide documentation and procedural guides
Required Experience:
3+ years in DevOps operations, scripting, and automation
Proficient with SSH, Remote Desktop, and CLI tools
Cloud experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and/or GCP (BigQuery, Cloud)
Experience with Powershell and other scripting tools
Familiarity with networking tools (DNS, Trace Route, Load Balancing)
Strong understanding of secrets management and basic security principles

Remote and onsite in Edmonton, Alberta
