About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in a contract capacity. In this role, you will collaborate with the Business Team, Business Architect, Systems Architect, Technical Architect, Development Team, and Project Manager to ensure business requirements are captured comprehensively and business expectations are fully understood. You will be responsible for generating key artifacts that demonstrate how business operations and systems interoperate, supporting new correspondence business processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure business needs are met and understood.
Generate artifacts to illustrate the interaction of business, operations, and systems.
Conduct verification sessions to validate artifacts and evaluate new technologies.
Support the design and implementation of business processes to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality outputs that meet organizational standards.
Required Skillset:
10+ years’ experience in business analysis and business modeling.
Extensive expertise in business modeling techniques/tools with a focus on creating reusable and leveraged artifacts for multiple projects.
Proven experience in the following areas:
Business strategy development
Business process re-engineering
Business case development and cost-benefit analysis
Feasibility studies
Joint Application Development (JAD) facilitation
Process improvement
System enhancements
User training
Strong experience with Screen Design tools (Balsamiq, Figma).
Experience in structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for requirements elicitation and specification development.
Proficiency in UML (Unified Modeling Language).
Experience using Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools, such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.
Strong presentation and communication skills to support client needs (e.g., development of briefing notes, presentations).
Knowledge of enterprise architecture standards and principles (e.g., GO-ITS 56).
Good understanding of corporate policy development and communications business processes.
Familiarity with the Government senior-level reporting processes, including correspondence, communications planning, issues/briefing notes, FOI requests, and financial/HR reporting.
Experience with Document Management Systems (DMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, or Talent Management Systems (TM) and/or Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) is a strong asset.
Project management experience, including defining and managing sprint scope, monitoring deliverables, and risk management.
