Job Title: Mainframe developer

Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid)

Job Type : Contract

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Inf-ormation Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development within the insurance industry.

• Proficiency in COBOL and Inf-ormatica.

• Strong understanding of insurance data feeds, specifically N0110 (Premium Feed) and N0130 (Claims Feed).

• Experience with batch processing and job scheduling.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements in the insurance industry is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other mainframe technologies and tools.

• Knowledge of SQL and database management.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
