JD-2025-FSD-1: Full Stack Developer Requirement

** Ideally, the candidate has lived in Canada for the past 5 years, and would be open to receiving security clearance to work in Nuclear Power ( the client would sponsor any required clearance).

Duration – 6 months – 1 year

Location – HQ is in Whitby and they have offices in Kincardine but this should be fully remote. Maybe 1-2 days a month max

Client is Nuclear Energy consultant, so work with OPG, Bruce Power, etc.

MUST have :

We need developers that are more on the MERN stack, specially those who have held positions as back-end or full stack developers with NodeJS (back-end) and ReactJS (front-end). Candidates who come with a very strong Javascript/Typescript background usually have worked on these stacks as well as candidates in the MERN stack

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to help our client advance a cutting-edge equipment reliability tool used by engineers in nuclear facilities to monitor and maintain critical infrastructure.

Security clearance is not required to start, but candidates must be able to obtain clearance during the engagement.

What You’ll Do

Design and build full-stack solutions to bring the tools’ next-gen features to life, based on ready wireframes and clearly defined requirements.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-impact features that streamline preventive maintenance and enhance system visibility.
Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code using Node.js, JavaScript, and React.js.
Build and optimize cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Support integration with third-party systems and tools commonly used by engineering teams.
Play an active role in sprint planning, reviews, continuous improvement practices, coding practices, architectural decisions, and development processes.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture that values shared learning and technical excellence.
What You Bring

8+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development.
Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js, with solid front-end and back-end development skills.
Experience deploying and managing solutions in Azure Cloud environments.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and modern database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have

Exposure to Microsoft tools like Power BI, used in engineering and operational reporting.
Familiarity with maintenance or asset management platforms like Maximo.
Knowledge of working with OpenAI or other AI-based integrations.
Experience in highly regulated industries or environments with high system integrity requirements.
