Position: Senior SAP ABAP Developer

Client: Enterprise Retail Client

Location: Greater Toronto Area (Mostly Remote)

Duration: Initial Contract until August 2026

Language: English

Background: Our private sector client in the retail sector is seeking the services of a Senior Level, SAP ABAP Developer with excellent ABAP development skills IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, ABAP Proxy interface development skills as well as user exits and BADIs.

Qualifications

Experience in participating in high level design sessions with other implementation teams and business units to help drive the design.
Must be in the Greater Toronto Area.
8+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
Having SAP Process Integration (PI) or other middleware development skills is a nice to have
Familiarity with the POS integration into the SAP ECC and BW environments and familiarity with related user exits and BADIs is a nice to have, including:
BW POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE) standard IDOC message type /POSDW/POSTR_CREATEMULTIPLE (PIPE: BAPI for Creating Several POS Transactions)
SAP ECC IDOC message types WP_PLU (POS interface: Download article master), WPUBON (POS interface: Upload sales docs), WPUFIB (POS Interface: Upload Financial Accounting Interface POS)
Experience with large enterprise retail clients is an asset.
