Technical Program Manager
Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Contract
5+ years of PR in Canada or a Canadian Citizen
We’re on the hunt for a Technical Program Manager who thrives in ambiguity, drives clarity, and delivers high-impact outcomes in dynamic environments. If you love solving complex challenges, empowering cross-functional teams, and guiding products through every phase of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Drive large-scale, high-profile, high-risk technical initiatives from concept to delivery.
Develop and maintain project roadmaps aligned with strategic goals.
Break down complex deliverables into clear, actionable tasks.
Facilitate agile ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Identify risks and bottlenecks early and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
Manage workload balance, keeping teams aligned and focused.
Define and track KPIs to measure progress and productivity.
Lead process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
Ensure seamless cross-team collaboration and communication.
Create detailed project status reports using tools like JIRA.
Own project outcomes — from inception to successful delivery — with a focus on quality, timelines, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Oversee SDLC progress, identifying technical dependencies and delivery risks.
What You Bring:
Deep understanding of technical product development and strong engagement with engineers.
Extensive experience managing full SDLC projects, from planning through deployment.
Proficiency in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as JIRA.
Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical ideas for diverse audiences.
Proven ability to manage client expectations, resolve conflicts, and align goals.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience optimizing team performance through metrics and KPIs.
Ability to navigate fast-paced, ambiguous environments with confidence.
Collaborative leadership style that builds trust, clarity, and momentum.
Nice to Have:
· Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP)
· Experience with similar public sector projects
