Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Specialist to support our DX QA team in delivering business-critical initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on automation expert with a passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Development

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Java, Appium, and Cypress frameworks.
Write and optimize test scripts to enhance automation coverage and efficiency.
Conduct web and mobile application testing across platforms.
Perform database testing on MongoDB to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Test Planning & Execution

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories.
Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and report issues.
Conduct end-to-end (E2E) and integration testing for system validation.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Defect & Test Management

Log, triage, and track defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development and product teams.
Utilize Confluence and QMetry for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.

Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON

Hybrid – At least 2 days onsite weekly

Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of experience as a Senior QA Automation Specialist or similar role.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or Python for test automation.
Hands-on experience with Appium, TestNG, and Cypress (Cypress is a plus, not mandatory).
Proficient in writing complex database queries for validation and data checks.
Solid understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies including functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
