Job Posting: Junior Business Project Manager (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking a Junior Business Project Manager for one of our valued public sector clients in the Greater Toronto Area. This role involves leading a critical multi-year implementation project and offers the flexibility of a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with various project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Partner with the program leadership team to ensure all project goals are achieved within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
Manage day-to-day project functions while enforcing quality assurance measures.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop proactive strategies for potential challenges.
Communicate with stakeholders to secure approvals for any changes to project scope, budget, and timelines.
Organize and maintain project documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility.
Facilitate regular team gatherings to review progress, resolve concerns, and ensure alignment among team members.
Resource Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely availability of project resources.
Monitor and optimize resource usage to enhance project efficiency.
Guarantee that user training is implemented effectively for a smooth transition to the new system.
Communication & Reporting:
Track project milestones and key performance indicators, providing reliable updates to stakeholders.
Foster open communication channels with leadership and project team members.
Create and deliver detailed project status reports, highlighting both achievements and challenges.
Implement change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition to the new ERP system.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focusing on ERP or similar digital transformation projects.
Proven ability to manage projects involving major ERP solutions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent credential is preferred.
Skills:
Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and execution.
Strong knowledge of core processes in finance, procurement, and customer relations management.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with diverse teams.
