About the Opportunity:
We’re seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a high-impact team within a leading Canadian bank’s Customer Complaints Appeals Office. This is a hybrid contract role supporting enterprise data governance, data quality, and lineage mapping initiatives.
You’ll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to operationalize key data strategies and ensure compliance with enterprise data standards. If you’re passionate about making data meaningful, improving governance processes, and supporting data transformation at scale—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Support enterprise-wide data initiatives aligned with data governance and quality standards.
Document and manage use cases, data flows, critical data elements (CDEs), and metadata.
Perform data mapping, profiling, lineage documentation, and quality analysis.
Build and maintain metadata models and business glossaries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data literacy and operational efficiency.
Monitor deliverables, track progress, and help resolve blockers in an Agile environment.
Communicate data insights and project updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Bring:
✅ 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst with strong process and data documentation experience
✅ 5+ years in data analysis (lineage mapping, quality, metadata, modeling, governance)
✅ Strong communication skills—comfortable presenting complex data topics to stakeholders
✅ Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Nice-to-Haves:
Agile delivery experience
Familiarity with Collibra, Universal Catalogue, or Governance Console
Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
Cloud knowledge (GCP, Azure, or AWS)
Financial industry experience
